Could Be-Couldn't BeCould be in my heart Could be left in yours. Could be pushed under the rug or on the stairs or in the hall. Outside your door. Could be in the grass where we never did lie down Could be on the moon; in Euctemon.Could Be-Couldn't Be
Could be in your wallet sitting next to your easy chair Could be lost between your sheets or hurled into the water, so glassy and so still. Could be right where I left it, boxed up, wrapped and tied with a bow. Could be coursing downlake like the driftwood we watched. Steadily. Silently.
Gone.
